Norwegian
Norwegian fibres are hardwearing and have a long staple with lots of crimp. The fibre is excellent for dry needlefelting and wet felting. If used in spinning it'll give a slightly hairy finish to the yarn. Available in dark brown and light grey.

Herdwick
A good natural dark grey. Interesting for spinners but is very kempy so is slow to felt. The breed was saved by the efforts of Beatrix Potter. Average staple length 15cm.
