![]() BergschafThe Bergschaf is a cross breed of domestic sheep from the Tyrol area of Austria and Italy. It’s a fantastic wool to use for both needle felting, where the shorter staple and crimp help it needle felt quickly, and for making strong wet felt for boots, handbags and vessels. 32-36 micron |
![]() MerinoOur quality merino wool is from non-mulesd flocks in South Africa and is dyed for us locally in Bradford. The dyes conform to the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 which means they’re colour fast and non-toxic. The wool is a fine 22 micron (66s Bradford count) and is perfect for felt making or spinning projects. |
![]() Drop SpindlesWe've created a range of spindles suitable for beginners to those with more experience. Some of the spindles we dye in a rainbow of colours, wax and assemble ourselves, the remainder are handcrafted (hand turned) for us in Cumbria or turned ourselves here in Yorkshire. We offer a variety of weights, woods and finishing details |
![]() Acid DyesAcid dyes are suitable for dyeing proteins so they’re perfect for wool, silk, feathers, mohair, angora, nylon, fur, etc. They conform to EEC regulations, are colour fast and non toxic. They’re simple to use and can be fixed with white vinegar. As with paints you can mix them together to create unlimited colours / shades. |
