MARCH NEWSLETTER

The garden is showing signs of spring, the days are longer and we'll shortly be able to meet a friend outdoors for recreation, what's not to smile about? My insanity levels are quite stable with occasional highs into instability, how are you managing?

This month we have a giveaway about to run on Instagram (there will be one on FaceBook in April). Starting on Sunday 14th March all you'll need to do is be following us on Instagram, like the post, share the post and tag us on your story. The competition closes on Saturday 20th March. The winner will be announced on the 21st and will receive a goody box of Corriedale, Mulberry Silk, Tussah Silk and Bamboo fibres to play with.

Unusually for a small company we've offered discounts based on the value of goods ordered and have decided to review and consolidate this into a single discount. Qualifying fibres over the value of £150 will attract a 10% discount which will be calculated automatically for you. The qualifying amount for 10% discount was previously £200 so this means more orders will be eligible. Ashford equipment is often offered at below the recommended retail price and our Ashford prices are unchanged.

Our second review has focused on UK postage. We despatch same day by Royal Mail First Class on orders received before 11am Monday To Friday. Rates for Highlands and Islands and Northern Ireland are the same as for the UK mainland. We are happy to announce that we are reducing the postage rate for parcels between 900g and 1.8kg from £6.10 to £5 which means you can order double the amount for only 70p extra enabling you to really make the most of postage charges. Postage costs are automatically shown in your basket and you will be prompted during checkout if you can add more to your basket without incurring extra costs. Orders over £300 are free delivery within the UK.

New on the home front, Dahlia is the latest of our exclusive blends. A beautiful mix of pink, purple and cinnamon Merino with white silk - luscious!  We've also extended our range of Bergschaf wool to include a new very pale greyish colour called stone, malachite which sits beautifully between blue and green, eggshell which is a tiny bit darker than our current champagne/light flesh, tile which is a lovely red orange colour and last but not least is a lovely pale purple we've called lilac. Oops and I've forgotten mottled green, which is green and....mottled....good for fields and woods. We hope you enjoy them.

Charlotte has developed a new Merino mixed pack for us called Bouquet and not surprisingly based on a bouquet of flowers with 3 shades each of pinks and purples plus a couple of greens. It'd be perfect for Mothering Sunday and other occasions - say it with fibres.

Announcing the spinning video on our last newsletter really worked and you can see the first in the mini spinning series called preparing the fibres on YouTube, FaceBook or Instagram. So I'll stick my neck out and promise we'll get the second one up this month.

No news yet on the autumn shows but we'll keep you posted. In the meantime there is the delight of WonderWool Wales online to look forward to. To join in the fun and see what we and the other exhibitors have to show just pop along to https://www.facebook.com/groups/wonderwool2021/ and join the group.

Take care
