JUNE NEWSLETTER

Nym (our new kitten) already has the nickname of MC which is short for monster cat! You forget how much trouble a little one is in the house but next week she'll be allowed out to terrorise the neighbourhood, watch out world.

10th Anniversary - We're still planning the Open Day for Saturday 3rd July  to celebrate my 10 years in Adelaide Walker, You'll be able to browse from 10am to 1pm and there'll be 10% off fibres to visitors on the day. Will we see any of you on the day, are you planning to come? I'm curious as to whether I'll be billy no mates or not. On June 23rd we will begin the 10 giveaways on social media so keep a look out for details of how to enter. 10 lucky winners will receive a pack containing 10 wool and plant fibres to play with and the winning entries will be drawn on 1st July.

Tour de Fleece. There's still time to get your Tour de Fleece sampler pack before the 26th June start. It contains 21 lots of of wool and plant fibres each weighing 25g, a perfect weight for sampling something new and there's one fibre for each cycling day. All the fibres are white so perfect for blending and / or dyeing.

We have some Hill Radnor in stock - This is quite a bouncy breed so will spin up well and is also good for needle felting. As with all the white wools, it'll hold the dye well. For the first time in ages we have a new colour of Merino too, please welcome Amber to the mix. I just love this shade and hope you will too, it's so vibrant!

Also new is Eco Jeans yarn from Venne and bamboo from Maurice Brassard. The eco jeans comes in 6 shades of blue and grey, each with a slight marl. So far we have 14 of the 21 colours of bamboo and the sheen on them is beautiful. It's the same weight as the Venne cotton (8/2) so you could mix and match the two.

Advent - we will be doing a fibre Advent calendar again this year along with a mini advent. Both will be available to order from August and will be posted out at the beginning of November to make sure you receive it in plenty of time for the big event. There will be limited numbers of both available so it'll be first come first served.

A number of the autumn shows are currently planning to run -
Yarndale 25/26 September, Skipton
Bakewell Wool Gathering 9/10 October
Kendal Wool Gathering 29/30 October - we have it on good authority that it will be more than a virtual show
Stitch Fest 6/7 November, Newton Abbot racecourse

If we're very, very lucky perhaps we will see some of you at a show this year.

Take care, keep topping up your insanity levels
