APRIL NEWSLETTER

First up, we're reopening to visitors as of Tuesday 13th April, only 2 days away! You'll be able to visit Tuesday to Friday 9am to 12 noon and we look forward to seeing some of you soon, don't forget your mask.

We're had a sizeable delivery of Venne organic cotton for weaving / crochet so most colours are now back in stock thank goodness. The delays with the cotton were mostly due to Brexit but I'm hopeful that supplies in the future will be easier.

One or two new items for you this month. I've been carried away with coloured diz for our spinner friends and you'll now find gold and bright orange available. This brings our diz offering up to 8 shades of acrylic and one of wood. These bright shades mean they're less easily misplaced. What colour would you like next? We've also added more turkish, tibetan, russian and bottom whorl spindles plus spindle bowls to the site so there's lots of choice.

Charlotte has been busy making more rolags and there's still a couple of blends left which you'll find on the blends and specials page. More will come up I'm sure as she seems to really like making these. On the specials page you'll also find a limited availablity dyed Corriedale pack, dyed tussah silk noils in purple and blue and spice coloured nepps, all fabulour for felt making or spinning.

After much consideration we've decided to offer a few undyed yarns for sale. Currently they're all British wool or silk yarns and we'd very much like to hear what you think. Is this something you'd like more of? Are there particular yarns / types of yarns you'd like to see?

True to our promise the second video in our how to spin series is now available on youtube where you can watch Simon demonstrating the gentle art of hand spinning on a drop spindle. I'm not going to promise the next video for this month but definitely by the end of May.

We promised you a giveaway on FaceBook this month and that will start on Tuesday 13th April so keep a lookout for it with details of how to enter over on our FB page.

It's not long now to online WonderWool Wales on the 23rd to 25th April. To join in the fun and see what we and the other exhibitors have to show just pop along to https://www.facebook.com/groups/wonderwool2021/ and join the group. We're working on more new products which we'll launch at the show.

Take care

Angela
