Nostepinnes and Ball Winders

The nostepinne or nostepinde is a Scandinavian word that means “nest-stick.”.; It's a wool / yarn ball winder used to create a centre pull ball for knitting, crochet or for when you want to ply a single with itself in spinning. It's very portable, slips into your project bag and doesn't need a table to clamp it to.
