I love Orkney! Yes, I mean the place and the blend we've created inspired by the colours seen on our recent visit. Simply called Orkney. it's 50%Shetland, 50% Merino and you'll have to be quick to get some as I'm seriously in love, have already spun some and have plans.....  Another combination I really like is Welsh Blackberry with Welsh Rose, I spun a single of each and plied them together, If you've seen my social media you'll have seen the finished yarn. I like it so much I may spin up some more before it all goes.

On our way back south we picked up a Hebridean fleece, which I've hand washed and is now available in 100g lots. For those of you joining in with the Tour de Fleece  this year,  we have a new green inspired pack, 21 x 25g of fibre for you to explore. It's only £28 and that includes free UK postage. The tour starts on the 4th July so it's time to place your order.

I've been busy adding more workshops (with more to follow) so if you fancy a workshop covering; fibre preparation, wet felting, spinning or even poppy weaving take a look and also drop me an email if there's anything else you'd like to see included.

Region 10 of the International Feltmakers (of which I'm a member) has an exhibition running now until June 2027 at Armley Mills, Leeds Industrial Museum. The exhibits are mainly in the museum grounds, featuring work from 20 artists. The moths I made for the internal exhibition 2 years ago have escaped and can be found clustered on one of the exterior lights and I also have a bird table and railings which are being reclaimed by ivy. The bird table was made from reclaimed wood, the ivy tendrils are 34m of plastic rope recovered from beaches and covered in felt and there are hundreds and hundreds of felt leaves in 100% British wool. You can take in the exhibition whilst attending the wool fair on Saturday 6th June and kill 2 birds with one stone.
