Beginner's fibre preparation and wheel spinning workshop - Sat 15th August

Venue - Adelaide Walker shop, Addingham, W.Yorkshire.

An introduction to preparing and spinning your own yarn for beginners. Learn to spin on an Ashford spinning wheel or bring your own wheel along if you prefer. If you would like to use your own wheel please make sure I'm aware of this and let me know the type of wheel you have.

I will take you through the basics of spinning, from choosing your wool, different fibre preparations like carding and blending, how to start your spinning, drafting your wool and turning it into a plied yarn.

Loan of a wheel and fibres are included. Places are limited to four to ensure I can give sufficient attention to everyone.

I'll provide tea, coffee and biscuits to keep us going.

Cancellation policy

Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts after which time a refund will only be given if I can re-sell the place.
